Cycle Fun at Barn Farm
Free Bike Events Coming to Barn Farm This August
Residents are invited to take part in two free cycling events at Barn Farm, Whiteley Way, SO30 2EE this August, delivered in partnership with Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (formerly Sustrans).
Free Bike Check with Dr Bike
Friday 14th August | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Bring your bike along for a free check-up with Ray from Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. Ray will inspect your bike to make sure it is safe and in good working order, and will carry out minor repairs free of charge where possible.
If your bike needs more significant work, Ray will provide advice on what needs to be done and recommend taking it to a local bike shop. Please note that any repairs carried out by bike shops may involve a cost.
Family Bike Skills & Led Ride
Friday 21st August | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Build confidence on two wheels with a family-friendly bike skills session followed by a led ride around the estate.
Ray will help families refresh their cycling basics before heading out together to practise skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Children must be accompanied by an adult on the led ride, with a maximum ratio of two children per adult. Riders taking part in the led ride must be able to cycle independently (no stabilisers), and helmets must be worn at all times.
Both events are free to attend and are a great opportunity to get your bike ready, improve your confidence, and enjoy cycling locally.
